New York | Part 1

These photos don't do New York justice. I was really enjoying the walk through the city and taking in everything around me. The tall buildings, the people, the shops and restaurants. It's all so very different than life back in St. Petersburg. The one thing I learned though, you don't want to stand on the escalators. Joshua and I learned the hard way at 5pm in the financial district when everyone was rushing to get back home.

Upon getting off the plane and navigating our way out of LaGuardia, Joshua and I had to figure out the buses, subway system and using the metro card. Thank god for the good people who created phone apps for the subway, it really helped us from getting lost.
The worst part about getting to New York and leaving, was having to lug around my bags and it tripping over every 5 minutes.

I still need to catch up on Dexter, but I couldn't pass up a chance to celebrate the beginning of the final season at Magnolia Bakery!

... and then we proceeded to go to Sprinkles. Um... I'm glad I don't live in NY, because if every corner I turned and there was a bakery, I would be in trouble.

To wrap up our first day there was:
Eating. LOTS of eating. Street food too.
Walking. Yep, lots of walking.
Shopping.
Catching up with my big sis from my sorority.
