Live Slowly

I am no longer in a rush.

With everything at our fingertips, I’ve been conditioned to immediacy.

Need an answer to a question? Google is already in my hand.

Need to talk to someone? Texting takes 3 seconds.

Then living in New York City... there is a heavy amount of shaming that comes with not moving with a sense of urgency. It’s so easy to take shortcuts for everyday things too.

But I’ve chosen to live slowly. I’m putting my phone down, I’m taking the long way, I’m going to enjoy the journey on my way to my destination. I’m going to live with intention.

I can take a moment to breathe and let things fall where they may. Not all solutions are solved at the point of discovery.

Every day we are challenged by something that shakes us. It’s up to us to retrain our inner voice to take a moment to notice what is in front of us and work towards what we want.

Sitting in the shadows solves nothing.

Challenge your authenticity.
